For Those of You Who Are Following , . .

the Madonna adoption, it might be helpful to understand the laws of Malawi. I was told by my brother's girlfriend, who worked in an orphanage in Malawi for many years, that in Malawi, a child is considered an orphan if its mother dies. A father has zero rights, and only comes into the picture if the mother's family decides to let him raise the child. Of course, in most cases the fathers want to avoid all responsibility and the child just goes to an orphanage. Remember this child did not come out of its fathers home, it was in an institutional orphanage.
